Meet the Team

Life at Thriva Solutions: 1 minute with Caroline Clark

The latest feature in our Life at Thriva Solutions series: Meet the Team, Caroline Clark, Group Product Manager (B2B)

Meet our Group Product Manager, Caroline Clark!

Caroline works in Product for Thriva and joined the team 11 months ago. She manages the development of Thriva Solutions' products, people and processes.

  1. At Thriva Solutions my job is to...manage the development of our B2B product, people and processes. I manage a team of four Product Managers and my role focuses on coaching them through product problems, developing ways of working within the Product function and interfacing with other teams, ensuring we prioritise the highest value problems to solve for our users, and continuously deliver with pace.

  2. Diagnostics as a Service matters because…it enables healthcare companies to offer diagnostics to their customers without the hassle of creating the ecosystem themselves. This means they can focus on where they add value most, through wrap around services like consultations and treatments. Offering our services to a wide range of healthcare businesses means we can collectively address health inequalities perpetuated through inadequate access, limited choice and lack of patient awareness.

  3. The biggest influence on my career has been...my grandfather (Pop). He encouraged me to study IT and touch typing at school, as he recognised the impact that computers and the internet were having on the world and the opportunities they would bring. He never saw my gender as something to hold me back - his advice was "whatever you want in life, just go for it".

  4. The professional principle I refuse to compromise on is...open and honest communication. Truth is a personal value and I strive to create environments where folk can be honest, even if that's uncomfortable. I believe if we don't get to the truth of issues, then we can't solve them and that will prevent us from moving forwards as a team.

  5. The secret to a winning team is...diversity and inclusion. I'm retired from playing rugby now, but I've learnt through experience that the best teams have a combination of different skills, abilities and perspectives, and we need to include them all win.

  6. The website I can't do without is...Giphy.com

  7. My superpower would be...clairvoyance - every PM wants to be able to predict the future, right?

  8. I wanted to grow up to be...a mounted police officer, vet and show jumper...all at the same time (I loved horses).

  9. My bad habit is....sitting at my desk like a prawn, and then wondering why my back is still.

  10. Breakfast is...porridge with fruit, seeds and yoghurt.

  11. You might not know me as....a massive country music fan.

  12. I'd advise my younger self to...accept my quirks and not spend so much energy trying to fit in.

  13. The last time I danced was...I actually couldn't remember, so a few colleagues just got a rendition of an old school dance routine to "Tragedy" by Steps.

  14. Happiness is...cuddles with my dog, Marley.

  15. Five years from now Thriva Solutions will be...a household name in healthcare services.
