Baroness Nicola Blackwood
Nicola is a distinguished figure in health technology and public policy. She is Chair of Genomics England and a Member of the House of Lords Science & Technology Select Committee. Nicola served as Minister for Innovation in the Department for Health and Social Care (UK) under two Prime Ministers where she led on Lifesciences, NHS Data and Digital Transformation and Global Health Security.
Baroness Blackwood’s expertise is rooted in her own experiences with rare diseases, driving her commitment to transforming healthcare through technology. As a key voice in health policy, her work aims to bridge the gap between technology and patient care, ensuring future healthcare systems are both innovative and inclusive.
James O'Shaughnessy
James is one of the UK's leading policy advisors. He has operated at the highest levels of government, including as a Minister at the Department for Health & Social Care, as Director of the No.10 Policy Unit, and as an advisor to DHSC Ministers during the COVID-19 crisis.
James is driven by the twin goals of bringing life-changing health innovations to patients and growing the UK’s life science & health tech industries.
As Minister his responsibilities included implementing the Life Science Industrial Strategy, delivering a new pricing scheme with the pharmaceutical industry, chairing the National Genomics Board, and driving the digital transformation of the NHS. He was also responsible for preparing the health and social care sectors for Brexit and helping to design the post-Brexit regulatory regime.
Pam Garside
Pam Garside is a management consultant working in health care systems and digital health
in the UK and internationally and an angel investor in early-stage health tech companies. Pam is a Fellow of the Judge Business School of the University of Cambridge and a member of the Investment Committee of Cambridge Enterprise, the technology transfer company
of the University.
Pam began her professional life in management in the NHS and subsequently spent many years studying and working internationally based in the USA. She holds a BSc from the University of Durham and a Masters Degree in Hospital and Health Care Administration from the University of Minnesota. She is an Adjunct Professor at Imperial College Business
School.
Chris Molloy
Professor Chris Molloy has a 30 year international board and executive career across a unique range of life sciences R&D disciplines.
His career began in preclinical research at Glaxo, where he was closely involved with the industrialisation of high throughput discovery.
Chris is the non-executive chairman of Thriva – a pioneer in at-home diagnostics; Exploristics and NorthWest EHealth: two UK tech companies using Real World healthcare data to improve clinical development.
